FROM NEW JERSEY TO CASERTASERA: WHEN ROOTS CROSS THE OCEAN
Some stories cross the ocean without the need for grand announcements. They are stories woven from roots, memory, and a sense of belonging—stories capable of reconnecting ties that time and distance never truly severed. This is also the story of *Casertasera*, which discovered it has devoted readers even overseas. Indeed, our publication is followed with interest from New Jersey by individuals who, despite building their lives and success in America, have never stopped looking toward Italy—and, above all, toward their homeland. And so, upon arriving in Italy, they didn’t hesitate for a moment: they wanted to visit our editorial offices and television studios. It was a simple gesture, yet one with extraordinary significance.Leading the small American delegation was prominent Italian-American entrepreneur Joseph Vetere—originally from Alife—accompanied by his niece, Tiffany Ronzel McCracken, and her husband, Benjamin McCracken. They were welcomed by Editor-in-Chief Lorenzo Applauso and Martina Petruccio, fresh from hosting the fourth episode of *Casertaserastadio*. It was a cordial meeting where professional conversation inevitably intertwined with the deeper themes of heritage and belonging.”It is deeply gratifying and makes us happy,” the editor-in-chief noted, “not just personally, but also as an editorial team and a publisher. Knowing that people abroad are clicking on our publication gives us an even greater boost. And we are especially pleased when our audience includes successful Italians—like entrepreneur Vetere—who have never lost the connection to their roots.” These words aptly capture the essence of a meeting that transcends the mere numbers and statistics of an online publication. For behind a click, there is often a story. And behind a story, there may be a homeland that keeps calling out—even when life has led a person far away.Entrepreneur Joseph Vetere spent some time at the newsroom, expressing his appreciation for the organization and the work carried out by our team. Before taking his leave, he wished the staff continued success in their endeavors. It was, therefore, a meeting that left a lasting impression and reaffirmed a precious truth for *Casertasera*: roots know no boundaries. They may travel, take hold elsewhere, and blossom into success and enterprise, yet they always retain a point of return. And sometimes, that point of return leads to a newsroom, a television studio, and a publication that—having started in the province of Caserta—managed to reach all the way to New Jersey.
